Golf on the Coast
The unique topography, plenitude of open space and lush tropical climate of Yeppoon and the Capricorn Coast make for brilliant golfing conditions and some interesting courses. Domestic and International visitors have long been drawn to the area by the Capricorn Resort Golf Classic, held annually. Golfers visiting the area can experience the variety of challenging hilly courses at Yeppoon Golf Club and Emu Park Golf Club or try the world first synthetic golf course and the new golf under lights at the new Reef Palms course at Zilzie Bay.
Yeppoon Local Beaches & Recreation
Yeppoon‘s unique landscape is packed with stunning beaches and headlands all along the coast. The best way to discover the coast is just to jump in your car and go for a drive along the Scenic Highway. Some of our favourite beaches are off course Kemp (in front of the resort), Farnborough to the north of Yeppoon or Shelley’s Beach to the south of Yeppoon at Emu Park. Nearby at the Causeway Lake you can hire boats and paddle boats and other recreational gear. You can also check out markets at Ross Creek and Emu Park most Sundays.

Byfield is one of the less known Queensland National Parks which offers breathtaking scenery and a truly isolated getaway. Whether you are visiting the famous Nob Creek Pottery, Waterpark and Stony Creek or doing some offroading to the surfing and fishing mecca of Five Rocks to do some camping.

Yeppoon Town Centre
Yeppoon town centre is constantly changing and is in the process of undergoing a complete facelift. The town centre is much more bustling today than a few years ago, but the few main streets still have that quaint village feel and provide a range of dining and shopping options duting the day as well as bars, cafes and restaurants in the evening. Regular Young’s bus services run to town from right outside the resort. Click here for a timetable.
