Q: Is Rosslyn Bay Resort suitable for families?
A: Yes, Rosslyn Bay Resort is suitable for all ages and can cater for the handicapped and elderly.
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: Sorry, no pets are allowed at Rosslyn Bay Resort.
Q: Is Rosslyn Bay Resort wheelchair friendly?
A: Yes, but there are a limited number of fully wheelchair friendly rooms. Most parts of the resort, including the restaurant, conference venue and pool area can be accessed by wheelchair with some assistance.
Q: Is there a secure carpark facility?
A: All units have one unsecure onsite undercover carpark.
Q: Is there a restaurant at the Rosslyn Bay Resort?
A: Yes, Beaches Bistro is onsite and caters for weekend lunch and dinner 6 nights (excluding Sunday’s)
Q: Is smoking allowed?
A: Smoking is permitted on the balcony or garden terrace of these units as well as designated sitting area’s around the resort.
Q: Are there barbecue facilities?
A: Yes, we have a communal barbeque and sitting area at the rear of the restaurant. Ask at reception for a key to operate the gas cylinder.
Q: Is the beach accessible? How far away is it?
A: Yes. You can walk to Kemp beach just by crossing the road at the front of the resort. The sand is literally 20m away.
Q: Does the hotel accept credit cards?
A: Yes, we accept Visa and Mastercard. A credit card surcharge of 1.5% applies.
Accommodation
Q: Is there a DVD player in the rooms?
A: Some rooms are equipped with a DVD player. We can place you in a room with a DVD player upon request if this is a requirement.
Q: Is it possible to connect to internet in my lodge?
A: All lodges come with free broadband ADSL2 WiFi (wireless access), daily download limits of 50 meg apply per lodge. Please see reception if you are having any difficulties.
Q: Do you supply beach and pool towels?
A: Beach and pool towels are available from reception upon request, pool towels are not to be taken to the beach. Please note, any unreturned beach or pool towels will be charged to your lodge.
Q: Are there TV’s in the lodges? Are there international channels (satellite TV)?
A: Yes, all lodges now have High Definition television available. Local networks and cable television can be activated at the reception for a daily fee.
Q: Does each lodge have a telephone that can dial directly outside?
A: Phones are being installed in the new Spa Bungalow Units soon and all other lodges are equipped with a telephone. Dial 1 for reception and ’0′ first to make an external call. For now if you are staying in a Bungalow unit, just ask at reception and you are welcome to use our cordless phone.
Dining
Q: Is there room service available?
A: We provide a full a la carte menu available until 9 every night but Sunday, or see our range of local dining options.
Q: Is breakfast included in the price and what type of breakfast is served?
A: Breakfast is not included in the price but room service breakfast is available plus a buffet every Sunday.
Q: Do you cater for special food needs?
A: Yes, our Chefs specialise in cooking for all types of ailments and special food requirements. They will happily cater for any request plus vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options are offered.
Arrival and Departure
Q: What time should I arrive at your hotel?
A: Check-in time is from 1pm, the car park is open to new guests from 12 noon.
Q: When is the departure time?
A: Check-out from your room is 10am but use of the facilities can continue till 1pm.
